Matteson StationTown houses approved for construction
After nearly three years of delay the Matteson Station town houses move toward start within 30 days. Lincoln Way Builders will construct 36 two bedroom one level units priced between 139000 and 145000 on Front Street east of the Metra tracks near Homan Avenue. Property owner George Cahavos initially proposed the development nearly three years ago. Judy Haldane coordinates planning and development and says streets and utilities are installed with permits issued.

After a year with Rich ton Park Police Officer Solt retires to enjoy family life. The village board approved the retirement and sale of the police dog that joined in May 1997. Officer Jeff Malachowski’s promotion to sergeant ended the canine duties for Solt as the handler chose the promotion.
