Graffiti at Park Forest church linked to gangs
Police say graffiti found Thursday on the back door of the First Church of Christ Scientist at 300 Westgate Park Forest appears gang related. Cherinda Latiker 20 of 335 Marquette was charged with filing a false police report after claiming her boyfriend pulled a gun and beat her. she later admitted the tale was a fabrication due to anger at her partner. A series of vehicle and property incidents were reported in nearby suburbs with windows punched and a motorcycle or items stolen from vehicles.
