Rich Township approves primary health program funding
Rich Township supervisors authorize participation in the Access to Care program to provide doctor visits for 5 and prescriptions for 3 to 5 dollars, targeting those just above poverty. The plan, sponsored by the Suburban Primary Health Care Council, would not cover hospital care and is partly funded by grants and government units. Trustee Kevin Conlon pledges his entire four year salary to the township drug fund, while Camp Bananas youth program for 9 to 12 year olds seeks 100 participants.
