Heights man jailed 15 years for stalking ex girlfriend

Kristopher Germany, 27, of Chicago Heights, was sentenced to 15 years in Cook County Prison for home invasion stalking and aggravated battery after a two day trial. Prosecutors said he terrorized his ex girlfriend and her five children for two years, with a series of break ins threats and harassment including letters and calls from jail. The victim’s 12 year old daughter testified to multiple assaults and terrifying confrontations in 1995 and 1996.

Toddler Left in Courthouse After Mother's Sentencing

In Markham a 14 month old boy named Joshua was left in the courthouse hallway when his mother was taken to a drug treatment program. His 17 year old sister and grandmother avoided responsibility. deputies intervened as the girl attempted to desert him. The child was later placed in a care program at Haymarket House after volunteers and officials arranged temporary guardianship.
