August Night Out Neighborhoods Coordinated National Night Out Event

Neighborhoods across Matteson and area join the 12th annual National Night Out to curb crime with 8600 communities across the U S states territories Canadian cities and bases. From 730 am to 330 pm residents are urged to lock doors turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with police and neighbors. The event aims to raise crime prevention awareness boost local anti crime participation strengthen community ties and deter criminals. A St Paul s Good Shepherd Church rummage sale in Park Forest runs 9 am to 1 pm with setup at 7 am and spaces reserved by calling two local numbers.
