Carjacking and theft incidents plague Hazel Crest area
A Sauk Village man said two gunmen robbed him at 170th and Wood around 11:45 p.m. July 13 and drove off in his car, later recovered by Chicago police. Suspects, a juvenile and an adult, face charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and criminal trespass. Multiple burglaries, thefts from a concession stand, and several stolen cars with recoveries in Hobart and nearby towns were reported, along with several arrests for domestic battery cannabis possession DUI speeding and related offenses.

Richton Park man held after hour long domestic dispute
Richton Park police cordoned off the 22200 block of Kostner Avenue for about 90 minutes before arresting a 36 year old man in a domestic dispute. Charges are pending as investigators review the case. the man surrendered after his attorney contacted him by phone. He was taken for psychiatric evaluation. No other people were inside.

Clita D Smith 34 of 255 E 23rd St Chicago Heights was charged with expired sticker driving with suspended license and no insurance during a traffic stop near 26th Street and East End Avenue just before 7 am Wednesday.

Beecher Elza Charged With Criminal Trespass to Residence
Beecher Kelvin J Elza 22 of 759 Penfield Beecher was charged with criminal trespass to residence on July 11. A woman awoke to find the man in her bedroom doorway and later saw him attempting to reenter her apartment in the 700 block of Penfield. He fled as she alerted police and was released on bond awaiting court.
