Junior Fire Academy thrills New Lenox youngsters this summer
In New Lenox 6 to 9 year olds joined Lt. John Lucas and local firefighters for a three day Junior Fire Academy. The program mixed safety lessons with hands on drills from hose handling to ladder work and a toned down national firefighter challenge. Kids like Will Rehm and Diana learned fire safety, teamwork and curiosity while parents praised the blend of education and fun.
