Python on loose as Blue Island man faces charge
Timothy McGuire, 28, of Blue Island, is free on an own recognizance bond after being charged by Mokena police with possession of a dangerous animal. A hearing is set for Aug 10. The eight and a half foot python escaped June 6 from his car at Jay's Auto in LaGrange Road, Mokena. Police and a reptile handler plan searches, with a field near McGuire's workplace eyed as the likely location. McGuire faces up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine if convicted.
