Land parcel sale approved for Steger redevelopment plan
Steger trustees authorized selling a 34th street Union avenue parcel to Ralph Crescenzo who will use it as a parking lot for his remodeled building and a new store with more parking. The move kick starts a $1 million north side redevelopment from Union to the railroad. The board also approved street repairs funded by motor fuel taxes and issued a business license to Cenary Metal Inc. A public hearing on the 1983 84 Community Development Block grant apportionment will be July 17 at the village hall.
