State police cancel training classes for local officers
State police cancel training classes at the Illinois State Police Training Academy in Springfield scheduled to begin January 15. The move disrupts new recruit training for Frankfort and other suburban departments. Talks between the police, the training board, and local officers failed to resolve a fee dispute, leaving the academy without certification and plans for supplemental training rejected.
