Third airport land funds not in Edgar budget detail
Gov. Jim Edgar unveiled a 1999 state budget to the General Assembly that does not allocate specific land funds for the Peotone airport. The plan allows possible land funding only if necessary, amid statewide allocations including Crestwood armory and Governor State University projects. Budget notes confirm flexibility for airport land purchases depending on market activity, with no definite amount stated.
