Park Forest man charged after cannabis found in car
An 18 year old Park Forest man Wesley Irk was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis after a routine traffic stop on Union Avenue. Five grams were found following a strong marijuana odor in the vehicle. The driver Brian Lugh received a ticket for a broken tail light and driving without insurance. Four men face mob action and battery charges for a beating in the 3600 block of Chicago Road.

Police described a Friday 1:15 a.m. robbery on West 14th Street where a gunman took $50 and an envelope with $250 from subscription sales after forcing the victim into a nearby car.
