American Kids and Senior Authors Forge Generations Bond

Crete-Monee School District and Eastern Will County Senior Services paired 8 to 13 year olds with senior citizens to co author a 110 page book. American Kids blends poems stories and non fiction with illustrations, born from a 1990s workshop that evolved into intergenerational collaboration. A book signing followed and a district board presentation is planned at Crete Monee High School.
