Trustees Keep Tax Promise At South Suburban College
South Suburban College trustees unanimously approved a 1998 total tax levy of 12,067,909 and abated 85,350 for bonds and interest, lowering the net tax impact. Trustee Anthony DeFilippo said the district will not burden taxpayers, noting the University and College Center in Oak Forest funds debt obligations. The 38 classroom facility at 16333 Kilbourn Ave. in Oak Forest helps meet debt obligations while savings appear on the 1998 bill compared to 1997.
