Baughman murder appeal not yet filed in Antigua

Two and a half months after a Caribbean court denied John Baughman’s death sentence for murdering his wife on vacation in Antigua, the Orland Park man remains in an Antiguan prison with no execution date set. His English Privy Council appeal has not yet been filed, and his Chicago lawyer calls for pressure to set a date.

Correction lists honor roll omissions and residence errors

The Star acknowledges and corrects a November 27 list of Marian Catholic High School first quarter honor roll recipients. Three students were omitted and three town of residence entries were incorrect. Corrected names include Thomas Houchins Amy Jensen and Stephanie Marszalek with their proper towns South Chicago Heights and Homewood.
