Illinois voters back most school construction referendums
Voters across Illinois approved about 80 percent of school bond questions last month, with 61 of 76 districts winning authorization for building projects aided by state construction money. State grants totaling over 254 million have gone to 71 districts since spring, with more funds to come, while some districts refinance to reduce local taxes.
