Sargent Twins Lead Flood Levee Duty in New Lenox Union

Illinois National Guard twins Pfc. Scott Sargent and Pfc. James Sargent, both 21, fight Mississippi and Illinois river floods from Levee sites in Quincy Hull Pleasant Hill Winchester Bluffs. They juggle civilian jobs at Joliet and Menards while serving, earning local praise from Bluffs residents and family as they help shore up earthworks. The brothers, nicknamed the Sargent Twins, expect sergeant ranks and look forward to returning home after days of back breaking sandbagging.
