White House helps teen with dormant brain tumor shrink
Alicia O'Brien, a 12 year old from New Lenox, battles a cancerous brain tumor. After years of doctors and trials, her tumor began shrinking and lying dormant following noninvasive laser knife surgery and help from a Virginia specialist. Her parents, both New Lenox police sergeants, managed work and four siblings through the ordeal. The family and community shared relief as the prognosis shifted.
