Matteson Plan Commission gave preliminary approval Thursday for a Wal-Mart Discount City and Sam's Wholesale Club to be built three blocks south of Lincoln Highway. The project includes an 114,760 square foot Wal-Mart with 36 departments, garden center, pharmacy and snack bar.
