Ford project stresses teamwork in Taurus Sable venture
Ford officials claim nonbureaucratic teamwork began four and a half years ago with the $2.9 billion mid-size Taurus Sable project. The goal is luxury front wheel drive cars at Atlanta and Chicago plants, replacing the LTD and Marquis. Veraldi leads a 40 city tour to gather input from 1,400 workers and suppliers, emphasizing reverse dialogue and employee involvement. Chicago Stamping will build two large Taurus Sable sections, the hood and cowl top assembly.

Village mulls 75 cent parking fee as lot runs deficit

Recycling drive yields papers and cans at St. Lawrence O'Toole
Officials at St. Lawrence O'Toole Parish School in Matteson report 25 540 pounds of newspapers and 377 pounds of aluminum cans collected in a school sponsored recycling drive. The fundraiser raised 668 90 dollars to buy computer software and science lab equipment. The parish urges continued support for future drives scheduled May 18 19 July 20 21 September 14 15 and November 16 17.
