License plate law would let you be true to school
Springfield alumni of Illinois schools could flaunt colors on license plates under bills approved by the House Constitutional Officers Committee. The measure, proposed by Rep. Rick Winkel, would add collegiate plates for public and private institutions. Of the 27 dollar fee, 25 goes to a grant fund for needy Illinois public college students.
