Cop chief targets scofflaws in Glenwood parking fines

Glenwood police chief Van DiCarlo told the Village Board that $160,000 remains unpaid from three years of parking tickets. MSI has collected $12,275 of $173,130 owed, with only 54 of 703 scofflaws paying. Trustees debated options including the Denver boot and licensing sanctions to improve recovery.

Ford plant cited for safety violations in Chicago Heights

The Ford Motor Co plant in Chicago Heights faces 131500 in fines after OSHA cited 28 violations from inspections between Oct 21 and Mar 3. Serious issues include unsafe truck lift condition, missing railings, unmarked exits, incomplete extinguisher training, unsecured gas cylinders, and welding spark exposure.
