Tornado Seminar Highlights Midwest Weather Dangers
Myra Guindon reports on a Tornado and Severe Storm Seminar at Fermilab in Batavia where about 1000 attendees learned from experts like Tom Skilling and Tom Grazulis. The panel discussed Doppler radar, Fujita scale rankings from F0 to F5, historic Illinois twisters including Plainfield Crest Hill 1990 and the 1925 tri state event, and the role of spotters in saving lives.
