Lynwood stalls hospital expansion plan objections filed
Lynwood officials filed an objection with the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals to St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers South Campus expansion. The 8,000 square foot addition on Illinois land would house accounting and patient services, with annexation and utility extensions proposed to fit fire protection. The objection delays the project and could raise the voting threshold at the County Board. The board also approved funds for Sandridge School water line extension, supported a tax abatement for Hosley International Trading Corp, denied a 30 day sign at Ricochet's Lounge, approved patrol car gear purchases, bought used patrol cars, and considered traffic calming at 201st Place and Driftwood Avenue.
