Richton Park Trustees Approve Village Budget for 1979 80

Richton Park village board approves a balanced 1979 80 budget of 1 874 184 matching funds for a parkway tree replacement program. Key increases come from nonbenefit insurance police pension reserve and utilities with property tax revenues rising 7.6 percent to 320 577 and other sources down 1 5 percent. Optional personnel changes include resignations of finance supervisor Kathryn Peters and parks and recreation commission member Debi Rosenberg, with Roger Bledsoe appointed to the commission.

Richton Park Five Seek Three Seats as Trustees

Five candidates contend for three four year terms on Richton Park village board. Incumbents Frank Annerino and Rudolph Banovich face challengers Allen Arcand Fred Radtke and William Van Baker. Annerino has served since 1975 and sits on regional and local committees while pledging open space, green areas, balanced budgets, and no tax increases.

Polls open noon to 7 p.m. across area elementary districts for board seats. In Matteson Elementary District 162 five residents seek three three-year terms and two seek the lone one-year term. Incumbents face challengers including Donald DeCarlucci and John R. Washington for three-year terms, and Luke H. Helm and William J. Paterson for the one-year term. District 159 race features John Bruggemann challenging James McCabe for the single one-year term. incumbents Keith McRae and Fran Myers are unopposed.
