Stolen Changes From Multiple Machines Reported
South Chicago Heights police report a theft of change from three pop machines outside businesses in the 3200 block of Chicago Road and the 50 block of East Sauk Trail between April 2 and Tuesday. Park Forestman said $2,755 in sports jerseys and leather jackets were taken from his van outside Prisco's at 11 W. Sauk Trail around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Harry L. Wade, 58, of 1642 Division, Chicago Heights, was charged Tuesday with a defective windshield improper registration and no valid insurance. A passenger, Marquitta Boyd, 39, of 483 W. 15th Place, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Park Forest youth charged with cannabis possession in noon incident
A 16 year old male from Matteson faced cannabis and drug paraphernalia charges after a noon Thursday arrest at Washington and Watseka. Multiple burglaries were reported in Park Forest and surrounding areas with items stolen including an air compressor tools U S currency watches and a VCR. Juvenile court actions are planned for six Hazel Crest youths following an assault on a Flossmoor boy with concussion reported.

Crete Man Charged With Burglary After Two February Break-Ins
Crete resident Michael J. Tamburich, 18, was charged with two counts of burglary for February break-ins at a Richton Road business where he used to work. Police say cash was stolen from a Dixie Highway business and a boat taken from Main Street was recovered in a nearby field on Cottage Grove Avenue.

Rich Central teacher faces multiple public indecency charges
Bruce M. Gilbert, 41, a Rich Central High School English teacher and assistant boys track coach, faces renewed counts of public indecency and sexual exploitation of a child. He turned himself in March 28 and is due in Will County Court April 25. Bond set at $5,000. Calumet City police investigate the death of 21 year old Hammond man Rick Martinez found shot in his blue 1991 Buick LeSabre on River Oaks Drive.
