Rookie cops rescue Dolton couple from deadly fire
Dolton officers Hashi Jaco and Sam Banville rushed to a smoke filled home on Ingleside Drive after a 911 report. They guided 90 year old William Fry and carried 89 year old Inez Fry to safety as flames from a malfunctioning furnace spread through the crawlspace. Firefighters arrived and the couple, who celebrate 70 years of marriage this week, were checked at the scene with no hospital visit. Commendations are planned for the rookies as the department notes their sustained strong patrol and rescue results.
