Southland hospitals plan multi million cancer center expansions
Two area hospitals expand cancer care with new centers. Hope Children's Hospital Oak Lawn raises 2.5 million for a 5,000 square foot pediatric oncology addition with private entrance and play rooms. Little Company of Mary Evergreen Park adds 4.5 million, 30 foot wing to Regional Cancer Center including a spa, serenity room and library. Construction expected to begin next year and open in 2001 at Hope and in 18 months at Little Company.
