The funeral for Dr James A Pettit who was shot and killed in front of Hotel Dawson Lovingston county seat took place at 11 oclock yesterday from his home near Roseland. The body was moved by private conveyance to his home twelve miles from Lovingston as friends from the neighborhood attended Lovingston court. The funeral was one of the largest observances in the area.
