The final day of the 1912 House of Delegates session opened at ten o clock with about twenty five empty seats. Alden Bell Culpeper offered resolutions praising Speaker Byrd which passed amid applause. Bell quoted poetry while EB Milstead Newport News raised a parliamentary question delaying Bell. William G Parker Portsmouth endorsed clerk John W Williams. Leo Dennis Jem War presented Byrd a silver pitcher and joked about pages voting.
