A report describes a waterspout event near Aboukir Egypt tied to a submarine explosion. The blast created a towering column of seawater and debris measuring feet high while releasing 10 tons of explosive charge and 90 free in a historic marine detonation.

Pennsylvania Dairy and Food Commissioner B H Warren supplied President Roosevelt and the Acting Secretary of the Navy with evidence alleging fraud at League Island yard in oleomargarine supply instead of pure butter. He says both officials pledged a full investigation.
Henry F. Naphen former congressman from Massachusetts Tenth district was found dead at his South Boston home. Heart disease is listed as the cause.
