The week saw a severe rainfall washout in the county with tents struck after the Friday storm near Owens store and patrons leaving. A Bar Neck debutante, daughter of Mr and Mrs John A Enos, appeared in society. Mr Larry Jagger, long ill with appendicitis, was operated on at St Vincent Hospital Norfolk and is improving.
Mrs Annie Dixon of Norfolk arrived home Sunday to spend weeks with her family. Miss Lola Foster Etta G Callis and Mrs Will Hunley with her young son left Saturday for Norfolk to visit relatives and friends. Mr James M Ogden of the steamer Old Point Comfort arrived home yesterday to spend a few days with his family. MADGcE.
