Curtiss Sets Albany to New York Aviation Record

Glenn Curtiss flew from Albany to New York in two hours forty six minutes setting a new aviation record. Dapple Gray Horse Run Amok In Downtown Collision

A sprightly dapple gray horse pulling a grocery wagon frightened near Fifth and Main. Wiley Carter left the wagon to deliver groceries, triggering a runaway that toppled a National Cash Register Co wagon and a Sutherland buggy. The horse dashed past an automobile carrying Mrs Nolting and others before stumbling and ending at the Chamber of Commerce Building as mud coated the animal. The driver turned pale, but no serious injuries were reported to people or vehicles.

Special dispatch notes that Jews were summarily expelled from health resorts in the Caucasus. M Friedman, the Jewish Duma member, reports the issue as he campaigns for Jews banished from the base. The law forbids residence there but permits visits to baths in 1909 and a petition for 1910 is awaiting action.

Falls From Roof Prove Fatal For New York Child

Morris Fishman six year old of 250 Christopher Avenue East New York fell from the roof of his four story building during play with other children. He struck concrete pavement after slipping from his mother Mrs Mary Fishman arms and died an hour later at St Marys Hospital.
