The annual meeting of the stockholders of the Savings Bank of Richmond held yesterday re-elected the existing directors. Management reports say the past year was the bank’s most successful in its history.
Richmond Virginia reports Thurman Skinner alias Thurman Thompson colored from Bedford County was executed in the electric chair at the penitentiary shortly after 7 AM Friday. He killed a young white man named Noel during a possum hunt in November after an argument and wrestling. Witnesses limited by law observed the death infliction. the condemned man, about twenty, offered no defense.
In a church gathering the evangelist spurred a surge of generosity as attendees emptied possessions into the plate. Jewelry and watches were donated, with a promise to continue for hours while a man named Bobbs rushed out to return with more funds.

Taft sent to the Senate the names of Judge Lewceed himself and Clarence Smithers to succeed Marshal Trent. Trent’s removal was not a surprise as the Justice Department did not recommend his reappointment.
A short list window blocked reappointment as Judge Lewis drew strong support. Virginia Republicans noted backing from Alvah Martin and Groner supporters while Slemp’s endorsement was unclear. The Capitol meeting with Slemp yielded no public sighting.
Harry Reinberg saw a New York society page photo and pursued it until a meeting with Miss Francon Alexander, daughter of a Brooklyn optical goods dealer. Cousin Dr Julius Cohn helped arrange a visit and urged a rapid romance. After months of trips to New York, the couple planned a Sunday wedding in St Louis with Miss Alexander agreeing to come to the city.
In Covington Kentucky special action under the Sherman anti trust law is contemplated. TH M Hoagland and federal agents investigate the alleged combine. Hoagland’s report to Attorney General Wick ershium is expected to lead to proceedings.
