The instruction describes using eight matches to create two right angled triangles and two squares. Start with four matches to form the smaller square as in Fig. 2, then add the remaining four to complete the second square. The process yields the requested geometrical result in Good Literature.
The President asserts conclusive evidence that colored soldiers fired on the town and that nonparticipants sheltered the attackers.

A conference of the Foreign Missions Board of the United States and Canada adopts a memorial urging President Roosevelt the Senate and King Edward VII to take immediate international action. The appeal cites testimony from Congo missionaries and a Leopold commission, urging an international conference to reveal facts and correct wrongs.
Atlantic City reports the death of Richard Donan a 42 year old midget famed in theater circles. He was found seated beside a heater with illuminating gas escaping from the appliance. Donan stood just over three feet tall and had traveled the world as one of the Liliputians.
