In Shamokin Pennsylvania twenty eight miners were entombed at Mid Valley Colliery yesterday. All but one were rescued by morning. Frank Oroloskie was killed in the accident. The trapped men used a ventilated gallery to plan their escape and dug through coal falls to reach the surface.
