Green Bittern Captured After Storm Near McKenzie
Mr J H Noel of Pinto Md brought a green bittern to the Times office after a sharp battle near McKenzie station up the Potomac. The bird, about 20 inches high, was exhausted by a wind storm and had its left wing broken before being captured. It was amputated and bandaged, then taken home to keep in captivity.
