Delegates from six camps organized the Maryland State Camp of Royal Neighbors of America in Cumberland. Officers were elected for three years and installed by Ida B. Crooks. More than 250 members attended, and a new South Cumberland camp was formed. The belt buckle prize went to May Schmutz. Maryland Camp now exceeds 90 members.

Tragedy at Laurens School Ends in Double Death
Boston March 12 Laurens School an exclusive finishing school for young women was the scene of a murder and suicide. Miss Elizabeth Bailey Hardee of East Savannah Ga shot and killed by Miss Sarah Chamberlain Weed of Philadelphia who then killed herself. Both were graduates of Wellesley College and had opened the boarding school on Audubon road in Fenway. Miss Weed recently escaped a sanatorium and had been under treatment for nervous prostration. The two women were intimate friends and ran the school with about 40 pupils from wealthy families.
