Wood County Wins Top Prize In County Exhibits
Wood County yesterday captured first prize in county exhibits by Judge Irving C. Smith of Green Bay with a score of 164.05, edging Taylor County by .40. Fond du Lac placed third at 156.10 and Waukesha fourth at 151.25. Other counties scored Rock 147.10, Jefferson 142, Dodge 138, Marinette 130.21, Kenosha 126, Adams 122, and Forest 120. The awards reflect exhibit quality and distance. Supervisors Wm Burhopp Richfield John Specht and A J Cowell s Arpin led the exhibit and earned praise for their work.

Burglary arrest and theft case tied to Charles Lehman
Charles Lehman was arrested by Officer Griffin on a burglary charge after stealing fifty dollars from Matt Wright on Cedar street. He pleaded guilty before Judge Hatn and was bound over for circuit court.
