A New Idea for City Walks in Progressive Areas
The Oshkosh Northwestern notes a trend where cement sidewalk signs replace painted street signs. Names of streets are impressed into fresh concrete near curbs, with letter size and placement prescribed by ordinance. Signs stay legible in most weather, visible at night with electric lights, and are said to outlast painted signs, lasting as long as the walk itself.
