The Rebel's Rule Love Letters in Time of War

During the American Revolution Continentals observe British from Westchester. Evelyn Woodworth and Captain Elderkin fall in love. They use coded letters that change color with heat cold and moisture to hide their romance from Aunt Amelia and Father Denton Woodworth. The letters reveal a cobalt pigment and gum arabic that makes pink green and blue messages appear and disappear. The lovers eventually wed after British evacuation and Evelyn overcomes her father's opposition.
