Timber Deal Nets Hatton Lumber 2100 Acres in Iron County
Vollmar and Below closed a timber land sale to Hatton Lumber Co of New London Wisconsin for 30000 dollars. The 2100 acre tract in western Iron county holds 13 to 15 million feet of pine hemlock and hardwood and lies near the railroad. Hatton Lumber recently bought in the same area and plans extensive logging.

Edgar merchant shot by accidental gun discharge
Edgar merchant Ea Pfrang was shot in the left thigh when his dog bumped a leaning gun as he searched for a rabbit. The weapon discharged tearing flesh. he was taken to Edgar where Dr Ludwig treated the wound.
