Fire at Staudt Tunst destroys cattle barn
A Tuesday night blaze at Conner Co. av Stadt barn burned the hay rack and four sheets of hay. Three yokes of cattle were killed, and a nearby camp building saved after neighbors fought the fire. A new telephone line to Veersind reported improving. local lines to Logal were near completion.

Beluga accident on Greenwood branch injures Zeimet during train pole mishap
On Saturday afternoon near Loyal a Greenwood branch train carrying a large pole for a new Loyal line experienced a snapped stake causing poles to swing. Zeimet was struck on the head and toppled from the car, while Gostschias and Jacobus escaped injury. The train stopped, Zeimet was treated, and three men narrowly escaped harm. railroad fault denied as unavoidable.

Died at Auburndale on Farm Near Town
W D Dean aged about sixty five died suddenly last Saturday night at his Auburndale farm residence three miles east of town. He was a widower with three married sons and no sisters living in Kenagha. Thomas Rogney, his employee, was with him at the time of death. The body was laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery at Auburndale on Monday.
