Marshfield Post G A B members plan a bene fit dance at the Roller Rink on Friday evening Dec list. Various locals report stock sales shop changes and shifts at millinery studios and stores. Officials note railroad, logging, and factory movements plus weather and sleighing conditions as winter draws near.
Mercury-like notes from Marshfield detail letters awaiting in the post office, town notice actions, and a special town meeting to be held at the school house on December 3. Other items include patent grants to Wisconsin citizens, a Marshfield roller rink opening for the winter, and local business promotions locally.
Second Wednesday in January will see the Legislature convene while the City Council moves to revise the City Charter. The work, started already, aims for a defective or inadequate charter to meet present demands, with care to make revisions thorough and broad.

Martin Kantzer received a tele gram stating his father is dead while Wm Katzenmeyer slowly improves and is expected to recover. J B Saylor will buy wood this winter as usual. Willard & Co may sell out their lumber interest here. Wm Taylor, in charge of coal kilns, returned home sick but is better. Thanksgiving dance at the roller rink Marshfield on the 25th attracts many locals. William Henry Harrison Hogel of Hancock visited and plans to camp near Marshfield this winter. S Vedder & Co have new patent novelty carpet exhibitors with 4000 stock. carpets cut in Chicago and cheaper. A son was born Friday night November 19 to Mr and Mrs John Cannivet.
