Triumph for sewerage bonds carry five to one statewide vote
The Tuesday special election approved a bond issue for a new sewerage system in Marshfield with 814 in favor and 158 against. Ward-by-ward results showed overwhelming support, aided by city leaders and the work of engineers John Icke and Prof. F. E. Turneaure, with Municipal Contracting and Engineering of Chicago awarded the contract. The plan extends service along Central avenue from A to H street and promises a thorough drainage system.

Memorial Day Observances Planned With Park Program
Preparations for Memorial day observances are nearly complete with a parade from Central avenue school at 10 a.m led by the Second Regiment band and a procession to decorate graves at the cemetery.
