How to Build Social Life Around Rural Churches

Revs Adams and McNutt shared practical country church experience at a Presbyterian meeting on uniting farmers through church centered social activities. Adams described Bement village efforts using schoolhouses, cream separator talks, and five societies to grow from 200 to 500 members. McNutt recounted Building up the Crossroads Church with a choir, a boys club, debates, and athletic events, making the church the region’s regular patron. Pastors from Neillsville, Weelkind, Navyonville, Stratford and others attended. Miss Arnold and Miss Burns performed a duet.
