The F H Witters Co pickle plant near Marshfield employs about fifty five girls and five or six men in a busy facility. Workers sort onions into five sizes, with pay by the gallon and weekly cash on Saturdays. The plant houses 18 000 bushels in tanks and produces dill and sour pickles plus cauliflower and onions from nearby Hollanders.
