Miller to Build Large Produce Warehouse on Soo Line
Miller will start operations this week on a new produce warehouse costing about 3000 dollars with capacity for nearly twenty cars of produce. Located on the Soo Line right of way between Maple and Cedar streets in the warehouse district, the two and a half story 80 by 100 foot building will store vegetables and all kinds of produce. Fall purchases will be shipped to southern markets from the plant.
Commission House For Marshfield By Fox Company
Peter Fox and Co of Chicago plan to open a commission house in Marshfield in spring for buying and selling eggs and poultry. If a suitable location is found, they will move Mr Fox and family here. Wm. Wenzel, longtime representative, will assist in the new venture.

Will Move House on Sleighs to City Site

Successful oratorical and declamatory contest at church
The high school contest at the Presbyterian church on Saturday evening drew a large audience. Judges Prof. F. R. Smith M. A. Buckley and Miss Helga Ekern praised the uniform quality of the entries. First oratorical honors went to Joe Glassner, followed by Carl Doege and James Delmore. declamatory honors went to Helen Ebert, Elsa Kalbskopf, Marie Polling, and Helen Grass. The program featured multiple readings, speeches, and musical numbers performed by the high school students under Miss Buss Adams’s supervision.

The Hub District No 21 Good Templars held a highly successful convention with delegates from Grand Rapids Neillsville Abbotsford Loyal Richfield and Chili. Grand Rapids sent twelve delegates. Officers were elected including M J Vanderhoof and A D Hill. A medal contest was adopted and finances reported sound. Next session time to be decided by the Executive Committee.

Wesler Accepts Secretary Post at Girman Mfg Co
W. A. Wesler, a popular local machinery salesman, leaves Duplex Mfg Co of Superior after years in the territory and accepts the secretary role at Girman Mfg Co of Eau Claire. He will oversee Girman offices in Eau Claire and end his road traveling. Mrs Wesler and family stay in Marshfield, with him hoping to remain a Marshfield resident in name.
