Fagles Take Band to Waupaca for State Convention

About fifty Marshfield Eagles traveling by Special car and accompanied by the Second Regiment band will leave at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday to attend the state convention at Waupaca. The local aerie will wear uniforms and banners promoting Marshfield as a suitable site for the convention in 1910 or 1911. Badger Aerie aims to attract a large attendance, citing Marshfield as a railroad hub. The band has a history of entertaining crowds and could handle a big turnout. The Waupaca program includes an excursion on the Chain of Lakes and other features. Also recounted is an armed robbery incident on Milwaukee streetcars where Motorman Marx fired on a robber, wounding none and helping to deter the crime, with Marx remarking the bandit wore a red handkerchief.
