Milladore Highbrow Name Origin Recalls Old Wedding Tale
In Wood County, Milladore's naming tale surfaces from a Pittsville Record anecdote. Orsow A. Everts, then station agent at Mill Creek, opposed renaming to Brannon after a line in an old English novel. His prestige helped keep Milladore as the town name, and he recently celebrated a wedding in Ashland as the story emerged.
